Strictly for the fans of SRT

The moment He announced his retirement from test cricket, we all knew that a day like today would eventually come and we can't do anything about it. Unfortunately, that day has come. And I hate realizing it.

I guess today would go down in the history books as the day with the highest number of Indians battling the pain of going to miss the very same person. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

Anyone who watched Sachin's farewell speech can feel how love and gratefulness, in their truest forms, would be. No wonder why he is revered all around the globe.

One particular sentence in his speech - "Above all he [his father] told me to be a nice human being" - stood out and indicates that it's the basis on which his entire life is built upon, even if cricket wasn't there in it. This is evident from how the world has treated him all these days.

Given that we mortals cannot learn Sachin's cricketing skills, let alone taking it forward, we can try to learn the "being a nice human" way of life from him.

He has given us so much of happiness all these days from within the field. It's high time we, who can only dream getting into a field, try replicating a portion of such happiness in our own small ways with the people whom we interact with. He stands testimony that this world would definitely be a much happier and peaceful place to live if we choose to be so.

From now on, every time we come across the feeling of missing Sachin, let's remind ourselves about our responsibility of being nice to others. In case it positively impacts at least one person in our daily lives, there couldn't be anyone much happier than the God Himself. :-)
